Durga Puja or Durga is a traditional festival centered around the Hindu goddess DurgaPuja. Durgapuja is common in entire Hinduism. But it is one of the most important religious and social festivals in Bengali Hindu society. Durga Puja was done on the twelfthmonth of Ashwin or Chaitra . Durga Puja of Ashwin, Durga Puja, and Durga Puja of Chaitra , known as Basantai Durgapuja .Sharadia Durgapuja has more popularity.Basanti Durgapuja is basically limited to a few families.

Durga Puja

Durga Puja is celebrated in India , Bangladeshand Nepal, as well as in many Indian states of the Indian subcontinent and the world. ButDurga Puja in West Bengal and Tripura state of Bangladesh and India is celebrated with special splendor due to the main religious festival of Bengali Hindu society . Even inAssam , Bihar , Jharkhand , Manipur andOrissa, the Durga Puja was celebrated in the vast Indian Ocean. In other states of India, the expatriate Bengali and local people have their own customs, Sharadia Durga Puja andNavratri.Celebrate the festival. Even Bengalis living in the western countries are also performing Durga Puja. In 2006, the GreatBritish Museum of London , Great Britainorganized a large durga puja by local Bengali immigrants and museum authorities as part of a cultural exhibition called "Voices of Bengal" season [1]
